The magazine catches attention by the main articles that are in the magazine, thus making the consumer pick it up and read it, and maybe even takin it home. The bright red, flame color emphasizes power, strength, that the human mind picks up. The model himself, attracts the consumer, to be able to look like him.
This advertisement from adidas is pretty interesting because of the way it portrays its model with gills. They are trying to get sales from the swimming community and this is a pretty good way to catch it, with their un-normal human with gills, like if you use their product you will be unbeatable.
This is not a specific ad but i liked how they took the famous ipod ad and made into something that anybody can recognize for the mma world. Mixed martial arts is still a young and growing sport so this is a perfect way to grab somebody's attention to begin to question what is grappling?
